Glenkerry Farm is a 194ha property, 20km inland from the Oamaru township.
The farm has a 133ha dairy platform, milking 430 crossbred cows through a 20 aside herringbone shed. Our milk is supplied to Fonterra Co-Operative.
The dairy has in-shed feeding, Protrack, and now uses Halter’s virtual fencing, pasture management, and real‑time cow monitoring system.
The farm is irrigated by pivot, fixed grid, and k-lines by water sourced from Lower Waitaki Irrigation Company.
The farm has been redeveloped with improvements to lanes, farm layout, and irrigation. Marginal land has been planted in forestry and riparian planting of Henderson Creek is underway.
By utilising sexed semen across the herd, our group now breeds and rears its dairy-beef calves within our own farming system. This coordinated approach reduces bobby calves and supports more sustainable, long‑term outcomes across all properties.
